PSP = Play Station Portable _ Türkçesi taşınabilir oyun istasyonu. PSP denmesinin sebebi elbetteki Playstation Portablenin başhafrleri birleştirilere konsola bu isim verilmiştir. Kısaltmalar dilimizde ve diğer dillerde çok önemli görevler yerine getirdiğinden bu gerçekten konsola isim verilirken güzel bir düşünce ile estetik bir atak olmuştur.
